Education

I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics form George Mason University. I also have a Education Studies Minor from Mason as well. Before Mason, I received my Associates from Northern Virginia Community College. I also have a Career Studies Certificate in American Sign Language from NOVA.

Experience

I am a math teacher to middle school students teaching Algebra 1 in Fairfax County. I also work with remedial and enrichment students. I help those who need the extra help or those that need a little challenge. I have worked at NOVA for the developmental math program as a tutor. I have been tutoring for over 10 years. Students I have worked with in the past range from elementary school to high school. I can teach and cater to students of all learning styles. I have worked with students who have learning disabilities and ADD/ADHD. I love teaching math, which I know can be a hard subject, so I break down the problem and go step - by - step.

I like going antique shopping, collecting math books, old and classic books, and shot glasses from different places that I have been. I like watching football on Sundays with my husband and dog and family. My hobbies would include doing Sudoku puzzles and regular puzzles, watching movies with my sister and friends. I enjoy baking and help cooking meals for my family on special and religious occasions.
