Hello! I studied linguistics (with a focus on ESL) and Japanese language at Georgetown University and I have a masters degree in international business. I have over 8 years of direct experience tutoring ESL to individuals or in group settings. I know what it feels like to be a student learning another language and trying to master it in another land because I attended university in Tokyo Japan for 6 years and became proficient in Japanese. I am a native English speaker and have studied 5 foreign languages (Spanish, French, Korean, Chinese and Japanese). I think students will appreciate my teaching style because I am culturally sensitive and I use many different approaches to help the student understand and absorb the content. I also tailor my teaching style depending on the student's ability and preference for learning and use interactive situational exercises.
