Hi! I am Savanna and I live in the Fairfax, VA, area. I graduated from George Mason University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. After graduating, I have been employed in different fields or conducting research while pondering how to best use my degree. My conclusion was to teach, as it has been a dream I have wanted to pursue as long as I can remember. I believe the best way to approach learning is in a step-by-step process that emphasizes the significance of each portion of a problem; this allows for a better understanding of the entire process rather than just providing an answer. I can tutor students in elementary and middle school mathematics; algebra 1, 2, and 3/4; precalculus; calculus 1; geometry; trigonometry; and chemistry. I am also able to assist with test prep in AP calculus AB; AP chemistry; and IB chemistry HL and SL. Although I love conducting research and tutoring, my non-academic interests are cooking, baking, and creating homemade health and beauty products.
