Private tutor in Fairfax, VA
Catholic University of America - Bachelor in Arts, Philosophy
As a tutor, I strive to provide my students with positive motivation because it helps to build their confidence. I have found that confidence is one of the key elements for students in order to reach success. I earned my bachelor's degree in Philosophy at Catholic University of America. Since graduation, I have been working and volunteering in a variety of youth ministry programs where I mentor kids from second grade through twelfth grade. Through this work, I have discovered that I am able to make strong connections with kids of all ages and that I truly enjoy assisting them to achieve their academic goals. I am available to tutor an assortment of subjects for primary and secondary school level, including Spanish 1 and 2, Essay Editing, Grammar and Mechanics, Math, Phonics, Public Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Standardized Test Prep (ACT, ISEE, HSPT, SAT, and SSAT). I have a particular interest in helping students to improve their writing skills. I am currently a graduate student at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute. During my spare time, I like to play hockey and golf. I enjoy spending time outdoors, and I volunteer with the youth ministry in my church.
