I'm from Fairfax, Virginia, and have earned my doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I have also completed Teaching Excellence Training (TEC Plus) and Blended Training programs. Teaching and mentoring are very important to me. My background includes a variety of experiences, and I consider myself to be a highly skilled instructor. I know from personal experience that working hard and having a commitment to a goal do play an important role in academic success. I am very enthusiastic about providing motivation for and providing assistance to learners in their personal growth. Currently, I am employed as an instructor at DeVry University as well as at Northern Virginia Community College. I have several years of experience as both a teacher and a tutor, focusing on subjects such as Chemistry, Statistics, Physics, and other Sciences. I have worked with high school and college students. My experience has included face-to-face sessions, as well as Internet learning and blended programs. I make a point of adapting my tutoring style to reflect a student's capabilities and requirements, and I have high expectations for myself in my work. I strive to ensure that parents and pupils alike are pleased with my services.
