Hi, I'm Michael, a tutor specializing in math. I am qualified to tutor in Algebra One, all the way up to college level Calculus, and Statistics. My favorite subjects are Algebra and Trigonometry. I've always been passionate about Math. My first encounter with Physics in college is what sparked my interest to apply math expertise to my surroundings. My interests don't end with Physics and Math. I want to someday be a Physical Therapist to teach patients ways to prevent injuries. In the meantime, I am delving into my studies by going for a Master of Science in Evolutionary Biology and Systematics at George Mason University.I have experience helping students bump their grades up and improve their Math skills. I have also tutored international college students in Math and Science. My tutoring style focuses on using a wide variety of teaching techniques. I have a firm grasp on Mathematics and know that it is sometimes a difficult subject to learn. I find my students' flaws and use activities and quizzes to build them up. I love teaching and combining my skills and techniques to help students excel. When I am not busy tutoring, I donate my time at the Smithsonian Museum, where I work with schools to get grade school through senior high students involved in practical scientific studies and activities. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, biking, weight training, and basketball.
