I earned a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Vermont (1985) and an M.A. In Teaching English as a Second Language from Saint Michael's College (1990). In may life, I have studied French, Spanish, Latin, German, Russian, Korean and Sign Language. I have spent time in France, and Japan for vacation and South Korea teaching.

Hobbies
I enjoy crocheting, a cappella singing, (including karaoke), reading, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, learning new languages and polishing the ones I already know. I also like biking, taking walks, watching movies, including foreign ones, and playing chamber music. I listen to Public Radio and classical music stations, among others.
