I have tutored children and high school students for over 4 years. I am currently the President of the Math and Spanish tutoring societies at Oakton High School. I am also a member of the science and school-wide tutoring center. I am the editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper. I was accepted to and attended the Governor's Academy for Spanish last summer. I have taken 9 AP classes: World History, Chemistry, English Language and Composition, BC Calculus, Spanish Language, Statistics, Government and Politics, English Literature and Composition, and Biology. I have received a 5 on all exams. My SAT score was 2100 and I received a 730 in Writing. I plan to major in Biology or Math with a minor in Spanish and I hope to become a Pediatric Oncologist. I want to be a tutor because I love working with children and I would like to expand my experiences helping others strengthen their skills in and out of school.

Hobbies

I like to dance and play basketball. I am the president of the Middle Eastern South Asian club at my school. My interest in medicine and working with children inspired me to found and become the president of Team Up for St. Jude at my high school. It is a service club dedicated to raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer. I also like to compete in Model United Nation conferences and work to resolve international problems. I have volunteered at the hospital and shadowed doctors, which has furthered my interest in a medical career as well.
